Film Review: “Changeling” gives disturbing look at history
Angelina Jolie stars in the Clint Eastwood film about a mother’s child who is kidnapped and eventually returned. Christine Collins (Jolie) does not believe the boy given back is actually her son and begins to fight back to correct the injustice. The story is a riveting account of actual historical events and the devastation they had on families. Jolie offers a wonderful performance that can stir audiences to the core. “Changeling” is a dark venture into Los Angeles during the 1920s and raises interesting questions about police corruption and political gain. Rated R for some violent and disturbing content, and language. Running time: 141 minutes. Four stars out of five.
